Flagstone is a generic term for flat, irregularly shaped slabs of stone. This stone can be used to make very natural-looking patios, if kept in its natural form, or it can be used to make a very uniform-looking patio, if it is cut into squares and rectangles.

Flagstone is also used for pool decks, driveways, stair treads or as backyard garden stepping stones. Stacked horizontally, it is built into small accent walls.
